Chapter 01
The round, not the visit
A property does not need somebody to turn up once and cut everything short. It needs the same round at the same interval, so growth never gets ahead of the schedule and nothing has to be rescued.
Mowing, trimming and edging are the weekly shape of that. Edges are what actually make a property read as maintained: a lawn can be cut perfectly and still look untidy if the margins against the walkway have crept.

Beds, mulch and what grows back
Flowerbed maintenance and mulching are seasonal rather than weekly, and there is an order to them. Mulch laid over beds that have not been cleared just buries the problem for a month.
Seeding and fertilising set up the following season, and dethatching is the one most properties skip. Thatch is the layer of dead material that builds up at the base of the grass, and past a certain depth water and feed stop reaching the soil at all.
Chapter 03
Grounds people actually use
Some of what we look after is commercial frontage, where the job is that the property reads as cared for from the car park. Some of it is a place people sit in.
A yard can be a relaxing hangout for friends and family, and that is a different brief to a mown verge. It is worth saying which one you want at the estimate, because it changes where the effort goes.

The grounds work runs under the name BCS Lawn Care Service. It is the same family owned operation, the same office and the same phone number as the cleaning side.
That is the practical reason customers put both with us. One company holds the whole property, so the inside and the outside stop being two separate relationships with two separate standards.
